The Holland in the Alley Startup Bootcamp is a 4-day intensive program organized by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York. A panel of experts, including serial entrepreneurs, venture capital investors, and Silicon Alley business leaders, selects a group of promising Dutch startups to participate each year. The Startup Bootcamp offers companies the tools they need to succeed in Silicon Alley and similar thriving business communities.

The Startup Bootcamp program is designed to provide a first-hand experience of the Silicon Alley ecosystem. The program includes workshops and roundtable discussions with Silicon Alley industry experts. Individual sessions are scheduled to address and discuss specific needs. The program also includes a road trip through Silicon Alley, visiting key players in the Alley who share their experiences and insights about living and building a business there. Our flagship event, Dutch Demo Night, is the grand finale. During this event, participants take the floor for 3-minute pitches presented before our expert panel.

Program costs are covered by the Consulate, but participants are required to cover their own costs related to travel, accommodations and some meals and local transportation.

The Holland in the Alley Startup Bootcamp is part of the Holland in the Valley initiative, a platform for exchange and ideas and knowledge between players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Silicon Valley and the Netherlands. Holland in the Valley links like-minded people in order to share ideas, seek advice, build new relationships, and find new partners or collaborators by fostering cross- border collaboration and exchange.
